 FLIX , Wed 21 Jul, 4-5pm

Members of FLIX, a Visual & Performing Arts Project Southwark Integrated Youth Support Service, show their own work and talk about what inspires them. If you’re based in Southwark, interested in making films and aged between 16-19yrs, come along and find out how you can join.

 Neighbours - Heroes and Heroines, Wed 28 Jul, 3-5pm

A joint celebration with Peckham Library on the theme of youth literature, if you are into Manga or Jacqueline Wilson come and join in.

 Peckham Space Launch – Neighbours - Ana Laura López de la Torre, Fri 11 Jun, 3-5pm

Ana Laura López de la Torre, has been commissioned by Peckham Space to work with Harris Academy Peckham on a project addressing the theme of neighbours.  We are currently in discussion with the school about the public viewing of the resulting film entitled 'The Interior of the School is also my Exterior'.  She will talk about this and the series of events working with local organisations throughout the opening exhibition entitled ‘Neighbours’.

 Peckham Space Launch – Peckham Peacocks, Sat 12 Jun, 2-5pm  

Rachael House invites you to take part in Peckham Peacocks, London’s first ever mobility scooter meet.  You will be able to design a club pennant, be a face at our artist made coffee bar, have a sixties style makeover and much more. Featuring special guests the Red Wheelies, mobility scooter formation display team. Peckham Peacocks is an art event for mobility scooter riders, foot powered micro scooter riders, children’s scooter riders and pedestrians. Riders and non-riders are warmly welcome.

 Peckham Space Launch – Future Programme, Sat 12 June  

Three commissioned artists and project partners will discuss their plans for Peckham Space exhibitions over the coming year.

 2.30pm - Harold Offeh will talk about his work Futurama, due to be exhibited at Peckham Space in Autumn 2010. He will work with Leaders of Tomorrow, a mentor inclusion programme for young people, to address their aspirations for the future of Peckham through designed objects. 

3pm - Jessica Voorsanger will talk about her work Peckham Heroes, due to be exhibited in Spring 2011.  She will create a karaoke themed homage to the 10 heroes selected by students from Harris Academy Peckham. 

3.30pm – David Cotterrell will talk about his work due to be exhibited in Summer 2011. He will work with residents from North Peckham over an 18 month period to examine the changing geography of Peckham utilising aerial filming techniques and investigating people's past and present journeys through the landscape.

 Peckham Space Launch – Zineswap, Sun 13 Jun, 2-5pm

An afternoon celebrating DIY publications from the people of Peckham, Zineswap will invite people to bring their Zines to Peckham Space, and leave with new, exciting zines and bookworks by people from SE15 and beyond.

 London Young Voices, Wed 16 Jun, 3-5pm

Chris Haydon, Director Community TV Trust, will talk about CTVT's current project, London Young Voices, a Borough-wide community media project working with schools and young people. This event will screen over ten short films scripted, filmed and edited by young people across Southwark.

 Neighbours - You & I Films, Sat 19 Jun, 2-4pm

Felix Gonzales from You & I Films will showcase short films and introductory talks on the subject of community and environment. Guests include Duncan Law, founder of Transition Town Brixton, OBJECT, challenging the objectification of women by the media, Polly Higgins, Barrister and founder of "The Trees have Rights" and Marina Chang co-ordinator of "Food Junctions".

Lee Penson, CEO, Penson Group; Natalie Brett, Dean Camberwell College of Arts and Southwark Council talk with Daisy Froud, founder of AOC about the state-of-the-art Peckham Space scheme and how it came into being

 Neighbours - AREA10 Project Space, Sat 26 Jun, 12-4pm, Booking required 
12-2pm: Walk: Meet at the steps entrance to Camberwell College of Art, Peckham Road
2-4pm: Event at Peckham Space and tour of Area10

Dimitri Launder, artist and co-founder of the artist-led AREA10 Project Space will take you on a psychogeographic walk from Camberwell to Peckham. This event will look at how, when and where artists have inhabited the spaces in-between locations and liabilities. Please bring your own stories and histories. This will be followed by screenings at Peckham Space covering some of the past 8 years of AREA10 ending up with a guided tour of the 26,000 square feet of AREA10.

Jennifer Blake, Founder of Eternal Life Support Centre works with young people towards achieving their goals. At this event the young people will talk about risk and safety in Peckham.

Artists Ana Laura Lopez de la Torre; Michael Clegg and Rachael House talk about their work with Frances Williams, Education & Outreach Manager South London Gallery.  

 Field Project Space at The Bun House, 96 Peckham High Street, SE15, Thu 8 Jul, 8pm – Late

Follow on with an exhibition curated by Field, who have transformed the Bun House pub into an unconventional gallery that challenges artworks to react directly to the environment. This exhibition will feature work by the artist Joel Grey which can be seen on Peckham Square 12 June and in also The Bun House on 8 July.
