Leaders of Tomorrow Leaders of Tomorrow are project partners for Peckham Space's 7th commission working with lead artist Harold Offeh for exhibition in Autumn 2010. Leaders of Tommorrow are part of Southwark Council Children’s Services. The programme identifies BME learners aged 14 to 19 who possess leadership potential and need additional support to develop their skills base further. Attending members are from a range of schools across London Borough of Southwark. The sessions take place at Bells Garden Community Centre, London SE15 on a weekly basis and are run by Vallin Miller and Lindsay Johns. The aims of the partnership between Peckham Space and Leaders of Tomorrow are to: provide professional development opportunities and skills development for young people at LOT in product design in context of the future of Peckham; to promote cohesion by identifying solutions for the environment within their community and engage young people at LOT through proposals of design solutions for a positive future for Peckham; to build confidence for young people at LOT by offering experience of public speaking and presentation on the subject of the future of Peckham. |
