For the third commissioned exhibition in Peckham Space's new venue on Peckham Square, SE15, artist Jessica Voorsanger invited people to take part in Peckham Heroes, a celebration of celebrity and historical personalities who have a connection with Peckham through costume and karaoke.

This video by Gordon Beswick documents the launch event and artist talk, during which Jessica Voorsanger was in conversation with Dr Jean Wainwright, an art critic and art historian who is currently the presenter for The Art Newspaper (TV) and who holds a senior lecturer post at the University for the Creative Arts Rochester England. This talk addressed the themes of art and celebrity and investigate it’s relevance to contemporary art practices today.
